In the little work before us, written by Dr. J. P. Modi, of the Agra Medical School, the author follows the usual lines and gives admirable short and accurate accounts of the various subjects. O'Meara, i.M.s., points out in an introductory chapter, a great feature of the book is the chapters on village sanitation and in the sanitary management of the great fairs or melas that in the past have been responsible for the diffusion of many epidemics, but which, of re2ent years, have been pretty thoroughly controlled to the great advantage of all concerned.
